For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in -Matthew 25:35

We have such an abundance, let's share!

We often see on TV starving children around the world.  I'll bet it would surprise you to know that at the local elementary school right across the street from Living Faith Community Church the poverty level is 80%.  I don't know about you, but I found that shocking!

This is America.  People aren't hungry here, are they?!  It's true.  When we simply asked our neighbors if there was some way we could help them, we learned of a great need for the school children.  While the school system provides lunches for needy children, they often go home on the weekends with nothing to eat.

That's where we come in.

Living Faith Community has volunteered to feed 48 school children each weekend of the school year.  We buy nutritious foods to send home with a child every Friday.  Enough to feed them for the weekend.

It costs very little but think of the difference

it makes to that child and their family.

THIS is what Jesus calls

being "salt and light to the world".

If you would like to help, see Laura Johns or Roberta Parker for details.

Thank you to each one of you that chooses to help feed local children.
